The Swahili word “fursa” means “opportunity” and that’s what Wahoo and Team AMANI are offering to four East African athletes who will be coming to the United States to race premier gravel events SBT GRVL, BWR Asheville, and Vermont Overland.

Fursa Presented by Wahoo kicked off in June with Kenya’s Migration Gravel Race—the first global gravel race held in East Africa—creating a way for riders to compete against world class talent without the barriers to professional road racing. Team AMANI collaborated with Wahoo Sports Science to identify four standout athletes to travel to the United States and compete in SBT GRVL among a handful of races. We can’t wait to welcome Nancy Akinyi, Sule (Thomas) Kangangi, John (Karis) Kariuki, Geoffrey Kiprotich Langat to Steamboat in just a few week’s time.
